10 Latina Bloggers You Should Follow on Twitter

Latina bloggers or “Blogeras” as they are called, are a powerful force full of influence; and Twitter is a great way to connect to them. Below is my recommendation for some of those you should get to know as a Hispanic PR professional.

You will find that what these Latinas have to offer goes beyond their blogs; they are personable, knowledgeable and eager to help.

  1. @CristinaMella of www.CristinaMella.com – offers tips about décor and innovative home products. (Spanish)
  2. @TheOnlineMom of www.TheOnlineMom.com – about technology as it relates to kids and parenting. (English)
  3. @MauraHernadez of www.TheOtherSideOfTheTortilla.com – about Mexican cooking and culture. (English)
  4. @MamaLatina of www.MamaLatinaTips.com – offers tips about wellbeing, food, product recalls, and much more for parents. (Bilingual)
  5. @MContemporanea of www.MamaContemporanea.com – about parenting, products and services. (Spanish)
  6. @Coupon_Chica of www.AhorrosParaMama.com – about coupons and offers. (Spanish)
  7. @GinaRuiz of www.DonaLupesKitchen.com – about tradition, cooking and recipes. (English)
  8. @ModernMami of www.ModernMami.com – about parenting and concerns of the modern working mom. (English)
  9. @SandraSays of www.SandraSays.com – about technology and communications. (English)
  10. @ohMariana of www.TheDomesticBuzz.com – about entertainment, health, beauty and giveaways! (English)

BONUS:

11. @BlogsByLatinas of www.blogsbylatinas.com – one of the top directories of                          Latina bloggers. (English)

What about Latino bloggers?… Not to worry, they will be covered in an upcoming post.

  2. Runeatrepeat says:

Thanks so much for the mention, Andy! I’m honored and happy to see half of the ladies on your list are already good friends of mine. See you in the chat tonight!

  8. I agree, great post and amazing “blogueras”. Not only great to read but fun and full of knowledge.

  9. Thanks for the mention, Andy! I feel very honored to have been included in this post.
I am very sorry that I will not be able to attend the chat tonight, I will surely catch up with the posts as soon as my plane arrives!

  10. Andy Checo says:

Thanks everyone! @Gus- When selecting the “blogeras” I kept in mind the audience of my blog, with a majority being PR professionals who do work for consumer brands, it only made sense to select bloggers that would cater to the person who makes the purchasing decision at the supermarket and department store. These “blogeras” are gate keepers to this audience. There are plenty of “blogeras” who write about social issues, business and professional development out there. In fact, many of the “blogeras” featured in this list have their own professional careers , which may not be related to their blog, however, they write about a passion point (their kids, cooking, decor, etc.). I think the current day Latina mom, goes beyond being a housewife and has a role in the work force.

  11. Great great twitter amigas!!!

  12. Mayra says:

    Hola,

  13. LILIAN HURN says:

Latinas bloggers are the best! I had been learning a lot following them in twitter and facebook. They are women very enthusiastic and supporting, they like to share tips to help you in almost all the part of your life.

  14. Angelica Perez says:

Awesome list! There are a few names there that I didn’t have — now I do! Thanks…

  15. Tracy Lopez says:

Proud to call many of these blogueras my friends! They are indeed awesome.

  16. Wonderful and amazing group of Latina women to follow! So proud of all of you! And thank you Andy for clarifying for Gus above. So often we are viewed as only “mami/mommy bloggers” or “housewives” as he put it. It’s okay. I am proud to be a mami and a blogger BUT I, like many of the other strong Latinas, I am not only holding down a household but also running a successful business. My suggestion to Gus and to anyone else who views us as just “housewives” is to take the initiative to reach out to us and connect. We have a wealth of information and expertise in many areas and wouldn’t mind sharing those things. Thanks again for the great post!

  17. Thank you! Muy honrada to be part of this list!

  18. Silvia says:

Andy thanks so much for including my blog in your list I feel very honored!

    You got it right!:
“I think the current day Latina mom, goes beyond being a housewife and has a role in the work force”

Sorry I missed the chat I was on an airplane, looking forward to your chats in the future!

  19. Great list, smart womens!!

  20. Thanks Andy for putting this list together and for including me. As I work to connect businesses with Digital Latinas via ellamedia.com, it’s great to continue to see our Latina community grow in many ways.

  21. This is a great list and I´m happy to be following them all.

I am definitely a proud homemaker and a professional. I´m proud to be able to handle being a mom, a wife, a caretaker and an influencer in one of the most important online communities at this time. Somos mujeres poderosas!

  22. Andy Checo says:

    Hi Laura,

Both you and I know that there are many other talented Latina bloggers, with you being one of them! ¡Saludos!
