About

This blog:

It’s about me, public relations, social media, marketing and a path of discovery.

Just in case. This is a personal blog. The opinions shared here are my own and not those of my current employer and/or its clients. These are my opinions at a particular point in time, but I’ve been known to change my mind here and there.

Me:

Just prior to starting this blog, I attended an industry conference and noticed how awkward it was when the presenters had a long bio for their introductions.  I decided that if I ever was going to have a long bio, it would be in an outlet like this one. Here you go:

I’m a handsome New Yorker (really Dominican) who lives in New Jersey (but work in NYC). I am also Marketing Director at the spanish-language TV network MundoFOX and the President of the Hispanic Public Relations Association’s New York Chapter.

Over the past decade, my work has extended over various industries including healthcare, non-profit, retail and telecommunications. I’ve worked closely with multiple brands and Fortune 500 companies including: Heineken, Pfizer, The Home Depot, Sprint-Nextel, JCPenney, Diageo North America, Delta Air Lines, Ford Motor Company, Novartis, Kraft Foods (Oscar Mayer & Tang),  Domino’s Pizza, Gap (Old Navy), Prudential Financial, Cadbury (Dentyne), Shire, Healthfirst and Maximus, Inc. (New York Medicaid Choice Program). I have also work closely with both national and local non-profit organizations, including: National Council of La Raza, Miami’s Children Museum, Neighborhood Centers Inc., the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and the Latino Commission on AIDS.

As referred on top, I am originally from the Dominican Republic, but grew-up in New York.  A graduate of Mount Saint Mary College (NY), where I majored in Public Relations/International Studies. I attended a Master’s program at Middlebury College’s Language School in Vermont and Madrid.  I am graduate of the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ Institute of Advance Advertising Studies, an active member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Hispanic Public Relations Association (NY). I am also an alumnus of Keewaydin Camps (Lake Dunmore, VT).

There you have it! That’s the longest bio you will ever see on me.

  1. Hi Andy,
Nice introduction… But I believe the last line is wrong. I’m sure your bio will get longer with the pass of time and achievements.
I think Vidal is a great agency. Have a couple of friends there: Nicole Vilalte, Anibal Casso.
Hope things are ok with you…
    Cheers,

    -Marcelo.
